A Brief Recap of the Couple’s Divorce So Far
As The Shadow Room Previously reported, Abasolo filed for divorce from Lindsay after four years of marriage in December 2023. At the time, it was reported that Abasolo was seeking spousal support from his ex.
In May, Abasolo reportedly doubled down on his child support request by stating he wanted Lindsay to cover his legal fees. At the time, Abasolo reportedly claimed that he only earned $1,300 monthly, which is not enough to cover his fixed expenses, for The Shadow Room.
A few weeks later, Lindsay reportedly asked a judge to deny Abasolo’s request for legal fees, for The Shadow Room.
Now, according to TMZLindsay is also calling out the limit on Abasolo’s claim that he only makes $1,300 a month. The outlet reports that Lindsay “is saying she has a hard time believing that number.” Furthermore, Lindsay alleges that Abasolo also earns income from social media.
Additionally, Lindsay also alleged that Abasolo refused to leave their shared Los Angeles home or cover expenses while he was there.
Rachel Lindsay recently shared advice and a tip she received from Tia Mowry
As The Shadow Room As previously reported, earlier this month, Lindsay revealed that she regrets not signing a prenuptial agreement with Abasolo. Additionally, Lindsay encouraged the public to make sure they have one in place before they tie the knot.
“We weren’t on the same page regarding prenups and I didn’t want it to be a bigger issue,” she said while appearing on an episode of ‘Hidden Gems with Natasha Parker‘ podcast. “So we didn’t have one. (But) hindsight is 20/20, I would have done it (now)… Everyone should have a prenup… You never know what life is going to throw at you…”
Last week, Lindsay also shared the advice she received from Tia Mowry during her split from Abasolo. As The Shadow Room Previously reported, Mowry filed for divorce from Cory Hardrict in October 2022. The divorce was finalized in June 2023.
“She said, ‘Don’t look at the past, it will hold you back. Don’t look to the future, it will give you anxiety. Every day, stay in the present because every day you overcome and grow stronger,’” Lindsay explained.
