According to PEOPLETaraji P. Henson praised Meagan Thee Stallion after attending her ‘Hot Girl Summer Tour’ in Los Angeles on (June 21). Following the show, the Oscar-winning actress told the outlet that she’s proud to see Megan overcome everything she’s been through.
“It was the first time I saw her perform live on her stage, as a main attraction. She is amazing. She managed to endure all adversity and overcome everything. She is amazing. I love you, Megan, and I’m so proud of you. That’s my little girl, by the way.”
PEOPLE reports that Taraji P. Henson and Megan’s friendship began when Taraji appeared in the Houston rapper’s ‘Body’ music video with Angela White, Jordyn Bosques, MalibuMitch, Asian BratIt is Tabria Majors.
Since then, Taraji P. Henson has consistently supported Megan, advocating for female empowerment and celebrating her success.
“I’m like Auntie, you know? I’m a girls’ girl. Whatever women are doing, I’m there. I’m the cheerleader. I’m the loudest one up front cheering them on, and that’s what you’re supposed to be as an elder,” Henson tells PEOPLE.
The ‘Baby Boy’ actress emphasized her commitment to supporting women, especially the younger generation, recognizing the challenges they face.
“Be here for these babies! You know, it’s hard enough for women out here, and what I’m not going to be is another obstacle for another woman. So, I’m a champion, I’m a team player. I’m a girl. Go Meg. Go Meg. I got you. I love you.”

Taraji will host the annual ceremony for the third year in a row and Usher will be honored with the prestigious BET Lifetime Achievement Award. Meanwhile, Megan will take the stage to open the show.
Culture’s biggest night will include a star-studded lineup with other artists including, GloRilla, Will Smith, Ice seasoning, Lato, Mrs. YG Marley, Muni Long, Sexy Red, Tyla, It is Victoria Monet.
Meg cancels European tour dates
Regarding Meg’s ‘Hot Girl Summer Tour’, the ‘Captain Hook’ emcee made headlines when she announced the cancellation of dates in the UK and Europe.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Meg has been making waves this season with her ‘Hot Girl Summer Tour’ alongside GloRilla, which left fans disappointed with the cancellation of her European shows.
Despite the setback, Megan took it to Instagram on Wednesday (June 26) to reassure his fans. The ‘Savage’ artist confirmed that she will still be heading to Europe, explaining that schedule adjustments were necessary due to the Dallas Mavericks’ advance to the NBA Finals. Additionally, ongoing construction issues at its Glasgow site led to cancellations.
“See you soon on the Hot Girl Summer Tour!! ☀️☀️☀️ With the Dallas Mavericks making it to the NBA Finals and the HGS Dallas show on the move, we’ve had to move some of our tour dates to accommodate the change, but I’m still soooo excited to visit and perform for you all ❤️ To my Glasgow Hotties I promise I will be there soon, the venue has informed us of a complex construction project which will close the venue forcing us to cancel the show. But we will find a date in the future!!! I love you guys and I can’t wait to see you ❤️🔥.”
