This is the deal… the film actor and Broadway star – sidelined since 1998 – reflected on his numerous career, highlighting “X2”… proudly calling it “gayest movie I’ve ever madeand I’m the one saying it”… noting that he believes the plot is an allegory for queerness.
DH points out that “X-Men” and “X2” were some of the first successful superhero movies… long before the MCU… and a big part of the success was relatable characters and stories about the mutants hiding their gifts special measures to avoid persecution…prejudice and exclusion are, unfortunately, extremely relatable.
