Prince William brought two of his and Kate Middletonthe children for Taylor SwiftEras Tour show on the night of one of its stops in London.
William and the little royals – Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9 – made an appearance Friday night at Wembley Stadium. At one point, William was spotted busting a move to Swift’s hit song ‘Shake It Off’. It also happens to be William’s 42nd birthday.
As a special gift, Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelcewho also attended the show, had a private meeting with the royals backstage.
The image also marked the first photo of Kelce that Swift shared on her Instagram grid.
By the way, William has been a Swiftie for a while now. The Prince of Wales and Swift took to the stage alongside Jon Bon Jovi in November 2013 at the Centrepoint Gala Dinner at Kensington Palace in London, where they sang “Livin’ on a Prayer”.
The royals were far from the only celebrities in attendance. In Travis, Jason and Kylie Kelce for BridgertonNicola Coughlan and strange eyeJonathan Van Ness (who was in Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video), there was there is no shortage of celebrities among the 80,000 present.
The appearance of royalty (without Kate who is resting following his first public appearance at Trooping the Color since the announcement your cancer diagnosis) appears not long after the Royal Corps of Army performed “Changing of the Guard (Taylor’s version) outside Buckingham Palace to honor the Department of Tortured Poets singer’s stop in London.
The royal family also posted a two-minute video of the guards playing an orchestral version of Swift’s hit “Shake It Off.”
“I can’t stop, I won’t stop dancing,’” the royal family captioned the tweet alongside three emojis: a greeting face, drum and trumpet. They also scored the British Army, the Army in London and the Royal Corps of Army Music.
Swift will perform at Wembley Stadium from June 21-23 and again on August 15-17 and August 19-20. It’s not the first time that Swift’s Eras Tour show has been graced with royal presence. Last August, Meghan Markle made an appearance at Swift’s Los Angeles stop at SoFi Stadium.
Prince Harryhowever, he did not attend as Meghan’s husband was busy in Tokyo, Japan, for a talk organized by the International Society for Sports Promotion.
