SPOILER ALERT: Do not read ahead if you have not watched “The Masked Singer” Season 11, Episode 2, “The Wizard of OzNight,” which aired March 13 on Fox.
Chrisley didn’t know much better, at least on “The Masked Singer.” While her “Chrisley Knows Best” parents, Julie and Todd Chrisley, remain in prison for bank fraud, daughter Savannah Chrisley was unmasked on the hit Fox series this week as the “Afghan Hound.”
For Chrisley, no one really believed it. Robin Thicke guessed Bethenny Frankel. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg mentioned Brooke Hogan. Ken Jeong chose Olivia Jade. New speaker Rita Ora nominated Sistine Stallone.
In her pre-recorded package as Afghan Hound, Chrisley alluded to her family issues and how it impacted her: “Every day I tell myself to be brave. When I was younger, I dreamed of what life over the rainbow would be like. And for my family and me, the dreams we dared to dream have come true. Best of all, we were together. Until recently. Instantly, it was as if our entire house had collapsed. And I found myself alone, I got lost and went out to pick up the pieces. But I wanted to continue and learn to laugh at the pain. I know I’m not a singer, but I’m here to give a fun performance and just have fun. I want to make my family smile and laugh from afar.”
Afghan Hound and Gumball were the two least voted of the night, and they faced each other in the showdown – both singing “Ding Dong, The Witch Is Dead” from “The Wizard of Oz”. The Afghan Hound was eliminated, leaving Gumball, Miss Cleocatra, and Beets to return for the next round.
Savannah Chrisley as Afghan Hound joins Kevin Hart (book) as celebrities unmask themselves on “The Masked Singer” this season.
It was “The Wizard of OzNight,” and former “Masked Singer” winner LeAnn Rimes opened the show with her rendition of “Someplace Over the Rainbow.”
Returning for season 11 are host Nick Cannon, alongside panelists Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke, while Rita Ora joined the table to replace Nicole Scherzinger, who was in London to star in West Finish’s “Sundown Boulevard.” .
The 11th season of “The Masked Singer” will feature themed episodes, including “The Wizard of Oz”, in celebration of the classic film’s 85th anniversary; “Transformers” (marking the brand’s 40th anniversary) and musical tributes including “Billy Joel Night” and “Queen Night”. And he was even booed off the stage at a competition – for being successful! I felt like nothing seemed to stick. And I’ve seen everyone around me succeed, time and time again. However, I refused to give up. Because no one would burst my bubble. And like many of us in Hollywood, I needed a little time and a lot of luck. People called me a national treasure, but I felt depraved. And that was when I bought the analysis I never wanted but desperately needed. And instantly, everything became crystal clear.
