“I just hope people give her a home and she can live her life freely for once,” said Arquette, who played Gypsy Rose’s mother, Dee Dee, on the Hulu series.
Patricia Arquette is “fine” with Gypsy Rose Blanchard being essential to her performance as her late mother Dee Dee Blanchard in The act.
While attending the Gurus’ Diarys #30Vozes30Days launch celebration in Los Angeles, the actor advised VeryFab that Blanchard was more than “entitled” to his opinion.
“I never met her; I think what she experienced is horrible,” Arquette said after we announced Gypsy Rose’s release from prison on the red carpet. “The whole story is horrible, the whole thing. I’m glad she’s out and living her life. With the celebrity scrutiny too, which she had even before we made our gift, I just hope people give her space and she can live her life for the first time freely and, hopefully, make her own healthy decisions.”
Blanchard recently revealed the Us weekly in May that she had seen an episode of The act and while she thought Joey King “did a great job” playing her, she “was a little tougher on Patricia Arquette” playing the role of Dee Dee. The 32-year-old then added that it was “because this is my life” and she is “very hypercritical of it.”
“Oh I didn’t know that. Actually, it’s fine, I can have it. I’m fine with it,” Arquette told TooFab after taking note of Blanchard’s feedback. “And who can blame her?” continued Arquette, who received an Emmy for her portrayal of Dee Dee.
“We are all entitled to our opinions. , I mean, that was her mother and I think even though they killed her mother, she also loved her mother, so they had a very complicated relationship and a lot of strange things going on,” she said.
Hulu The act was met with critical and popular praise, with King also receiving an Emmy nomination for his performance.

Arquette walked the Guru Journal pink carpet showing off help for her brother David Arquette – who is among the stars of the #30Days30Voices Delight marketing campaign – as well as her late sister Alexis Arquette.
“It’s beautiful to be here, all these great people they are supporting GLAAD. This lovely diary, the Gurus’ diary, and I’m so happy to be here. My brother David is on one of the many covers. We’ve been talking so much about my sister Alexis, so excited about how important Delight was to Alexis, how she always went out and had fun,” she said of her sister, who died at age 47 in 2016.

“I don’t know who thought of Delight first, however, this concept, sort of, when I just think of the phrase Delight, it kind of jogs my memory as a high school factor of how to get together and celebrate, how, and the fun of living in your reality and living your life and being proud,” she said about the importance of the Month of Delight.
“Be happy with who you are and love yourself and I believe that loving yourself is actually a very powerful thing that you can do and it’s the only way we can love others,” she added. “It’s the only way we’ll ever love each other.”

Arquette’s sister, Alexis, was an actress and trans activist who shared her transition story in the 2007 documentary, Alexis Arquette: She is my brother.
When VeryFab Asked Arquette what she thought her sister would say about her continuing to enjoy the joy in her honor, Arquette said she got a text from her right away.
“Lex, what do you want to tell me? We talk regularly,” she began. “She just told me that she gave me a nickname when we were kids and said, ‘Oh, I’m so glad you’re there.’ So that’s what she stated.”
She is actually a Average!
