Legendary sportscaster Bob Costas is calling out hypocrisy within the WNBA… saying fans are choosing when to be outraged based on race – pointing to a “Black on Black” incident involving Angel Reese to plead your case.
A hard miss Caitlin Clark resulted in a ton of backlash against the Chicago Sky player Chennedy Carter over the weekend… with many claiming opponents are being too hard on the rookie sensation.

Costas says there was no energy for Reese at the start of this season… when the Connecticut Sun player Alyssa Thomas grabbed her by the neck and pulled her onto the court, resulting in a flagrant foul 2 and expulsion.
“The reason it doesn’t spark as much conversation is not just because Caitlin Clark is a bigger star than Alyssa Thomas,” Costas told CNN on Monday. “It’s because it’s a Black on Black incident and you don’t have that dynamic where people can comment, yes, but also exaggerate and sometimes tell the whole story.”

Costas explained that he’s seen the way Clark has been treated in every other sport over the years — rookies get bullied all the time for being rookies, but people get upset because the former Iowa Hawkeyes star is white.
Clark’s presence put a big spotlight on the W… provoking debate left and right.

Pat McAfee even joined the conversation praising the Indiana Fever star – referring to her as a “white bitch” in the process – which practically adds to Costas’ argument.
