A TikTok star known for his Scarface impressions became extremely heated on the stand under cross-examination when he was asked about his alleged web searches for “cut up bodies” and “teen porn” before the murders; Crime scene photos were also seen.
Ali Abulaban, a TikTok star accused of killing his ex-wife and another man After secretly installing a listening device in his home, he experienced moments of real confrontation in his testimony under interrogation.
The social media creator – who has amassed nearly 950,000 followers through comedy skits and Scarface impressions – took the witness stand in his personal protection this week as he is accused of murdering his wife Ana Abulaban and good friend Rayburn Cardenas Barron on October 21, 2021.
He faces two counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors argued the murders were premeditated, while his protection team claimed he was “simply out of his mind” and “all judgment and causation (flew) out the window” when he confronted the two over dishonest suspicions. Each was shot and killed.

While under questioning by prosecutors, Abulaban admitted his past history of physical violence against Ana. Images were shown of his bruised face, after he hit her days before her murder, as well as text messages from her saying: “I don’t love you ”.
According to prosecutors, he was “harassing” Ana before her death, with Ana telling him to leave her alone. She even threatened to get a restraining order. Earlier this week, Abulaban said he was giving “home” to his wife while at a nearby resort the week of the murders; prosecutors argued that Ana actually kicked him out of her apartment after learning he slept with another woman.
As his web searches on his phone were addressed, his concerns about finding an escort were brought to the court.
“Ana couldn’t do the same, right? It’s okay for you to sleep with another woman, it’s okay for you to go out and get a date for sex, but Ana couldn’t be with another man,” said prosecutors, who questioned why he felt so neglected because she was dating Ray. .
“My love for Ana wouldn’t change the fact that I was alone. I was very alone,” he said of the escort searches. “She wasn’t at home, she was gone. I have needs, I have considered them, but I have never used any. I was confused about where the hell I was in my relationship.
“I’m thinking Ana dates men all the time, I think she’s sleeping around and never tells me about it,” he continued. “All these months were essentially the most complicated moments of my life. I was on medication 24/7, I’m not thinking clearly. I wasn’t in the right frame of mind this period of time.”

Further web searches showed that he was researching information about audio monitoring devices and how to install listening devices. Abulaban admitted to entering Ana’s condominium on the morning of her death, while she was not home, and destroying the place – before activating a recording app on his daughter’s iPad and hiding it near Ana’s bed in an attempt to catch her having sexual intercourse. After overhearing her and someone else talking about the matter later in the day, he ran to the condominium, entered the unit and killed them both.
In his testimony, he also insisted that the idea of activating the application on the morning of the murders was a stimulus for the second option and not something he pre-planned.
On October 17, days before the murder and after slapping Ana in the face after having dinner together, he was also seen using his cell phone to search for “cut bodies” and “decapitated heads”.
“It is not associated with dinner. It’s just me when I’m back at home, out of my thoughts, reviewing things I’ve been thinking about all month,” he said, claiming that he and a friend were the target of a cellphone theft involving drug cartels. “I just thought of it, let me see if I can find these noisy images.”
“Did you realize she wouldn’t come back to you?” requested the prosecutors, who clearly were not waiting for his clarification. “So we considered cutting up our bodies?”
“Again, it is not associated. What’s this going to do, train me methods to cut a physique? It’s bizarre, of course, that I researched this,” he said, admitting to having seen many photos of decapitated heads.
The prosecutor then questioned him about alleged searches on October 18 for “teen pornography,” although no documents were shown about the said search. “What?! What did you just say?! You are out of your thoughts. Show me the teenager you just mentioned!” he exclaimed upon hearing this claim.
“You want to paint me as some kind of child molester, show me! What you just mentioned, I’ve never seen that in discovery. You never confirmed this to my team. Where did you get that? he screamed. “Introduce! Show me what you just mentioned, you won’t forget it. You will not color me as something I am not.
The prosecutor, however, moved on. This moment can be seen in the information package above.

When it came time to address the shooting itself, the prosecutor revealed that on the day of the murders – after Abulaban destroyed her condominium – Ana sent a text message saying: “I want you out of my life, as soon as possible.”
“And that made you mad, right?” she asked the state, before Abulaban said: “I don’t even remember her saying that to me.” The prosecutor then asked if he “wanted (Ray) worthless” and that’s why he “did what you did, right?” Abulaban’s response: “No, I just lost control.”
He also insisted that he “didn’t intend to hit Ray in the head” and when asked if he knew that “taking shots at Ana’s head would kill her,” he said, “No.”
“I know someone who was shot in the head, it could be deadly. Some people can survive this. These aren’t usually ideas I’m considering,” he continued. “I wasn’t even thinking. I had no control of myself at this point.”
She then introduced Ana raising her arms and shouting “for mercy” after he shot Ray, before claiming Abulaban shouted “Respect!” to Ana before photographing her. “You shot her because she disrespected you and was with Ray, right?” she asked. He vehemently denied having said this and demanded that the audio of the moment be played in court; Abulaban was recording himself when he entered the condominium.
Inside the audio (indicated above), between gunshots, a male voice will be heard saying one thing. “I didn’t fucking say that!” Still he insisted, claiming he couldn’t hear that precise phrase.

The prosecutor also claimed that Abulaban “pushed (Ana’s) head into Ray’s lap and placed the bullets near her feet” after hitting her in the forehead. He denied doing so too, while a photograph of the scene was shown in court (above).
“Get out of here. I will not tolerate this,” he said, claiming that DNA evidence confirmed that he had no contact with our bodies.
The images he took of our bodies after the shooting were also talked about, although he said he couldn’t remember when he took them or why he did it.
The trial is ongoing.
