tiffany haddish says she’s had a lot of trouble with pregnancy over the years… and it’s all due to an ongoing battle with endometriosis.
The comedian shared her struggles in a new interview with People …which she also details in her new memoir, “I Curse You With Joy,” which will be released in less than 2 weeks. One of the big takeaways from the book is that Tiffany says she suffered eight miscarriages.
Tiffany has previously shared her fertility struggles, but now we’re better understanding why — she deals with endometriosis… which means tissue grows outside the uterus, which can affect a woman’s ability to conceive.
This is what has been happening to Tiff for years. She says: “It’s so devastating. Every time I find out I’m pregnant, I think, ‘Don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t do anything.’ Even though I really don’t want (the baby), I still try to give it a chance.”
TH says she felt tremendous pain as a result of the endometriosis – which she says was misdiagnosed at first. She explains, “I’m pretty sure the devil is real, because on the first day of my period, no matter what, the devil kicks in. I feel like my life has been turned upside down. I’m like, ‘I’m dying?'”
Tiffany revealed that she is currently celibate amid her health issues…but is still dating.
While it doesn’t seem like anything has been able to prevent miscarriages so far – Tiff says she’s been taking medication to help ease the pain… so at least she’s gotten relief.
