Kevin Hart sets the record straight for his height
According to Entertainment tonight, the 44-year-old sat down for an exclusive interview on ’60 Minutes’ with Anderson Cooper. During the meeting, Cooper mentioned several media outlets and how tall they reported Hart to be.
“GQ said you were 5’5, the LA Times said you were 5’4 and somewhere else said you were 5’2,” Cooper told Hart.
In response, Hart humorously responded: “Well, that last place is bullshit.”
“GQ finally got it right,” Hart revealed. “5’5! Five foot five, like, with one shoe on. Like, with sneakers. Now, if I put on boots, I can reach 5’5 and a half.”
As the interview continued, Hart clarified why he’s not afraid to share more personal things about himself that people might find funny.
“It’s talking about things that you’re not afraid to laugh at yourself about,” he said. “I’m really confident that the laugh I’m getting, you’re not necessarily laughing at me like I’m a joke, you’re laughing at the experience. I’m giving you an experience through a story that’s relatable, and more importantly, I’m saying things that other people just don’t have the courage to say.”
The comedian also spilled tea on his finances
Additionally, Hart also spoke with Cooper about his finances and whether or not he has reached billionaire status.
“None of your business, man. Are you trying to rob me? Hart initially responded when Cooper asked if he had reached ten figures.
From there, Hart added, “hopefully,” seemingly confirming that he has not yet reached billionaire status. However, the comedian shared what he considers to be the “better side” to whether or not he will reach that milestone.
“Even if I don’t want to or I don’t want to, I think the best part of what I did was create what could become the new norm for other people in the funny business,” Hart told Cooper. “For other people in the entertainment business. Not just being part of the business, but learning and understanding how to be the business.”
Kevin Hart already made headlines earlier this year
As The Shadow Room Previously reported, Hart made headlines in January when fellow comedian Katt Williams accused him of being a “factory factory.”
In response, Hart dismissed Williams’ comments, saying he harbored “anger.”
Weeks after Williams’ comments about Hart, his ex-wife, Torrei Hart, revealed that she would be joining Williams on a national comedy tour, per The Shadow Room.
In response, Hart took the high road as he wished his ex-wife and Williams well in their joint venture, for The Shadow Room.
“I want everyone to win, I hope the tour is great,” he said TMZ at the time.
Ultimately, Torrei Hart later addressed the social media speculation surrounding her decision to tour with Williams.
