Peculiar Press Conference
The 25-year-old’s behavior seemed strange at the press conference to promote the to fight. However, some social media users said it was all for “entertainment”.
Garica said: “I want some of your mother. I’m going to put my shit in your mouth, idiot.
The fighter added, “Yeah, take a break, don’t, Diddy.”
After Ryan finished his speech, Devin spoke.
“Something wrong with the son of a bitch. This is not normal. This is not normal”, Haney said.
Ryan lost weight
At the fighter’s weigh-in on Friday (April 19), Garcia missed weight by 3.2 kilos. The weight limit for boxers was 140 pounds. Instead of trying to lose the extra weight, Ryan suggested the fight continue on Saturday. The two men signed an agreement to fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
However, Garcia loses the deal. While he won’t have to weigh in on Saturday, he will lose about $600,000 of his winnings to Haney.
Devin must have been under the impression that Garcia would lose weight because he bet $500,000 per pound if that happened. Because Ryan weighed 3 pounds more, he owed his opponent $1.5 million. A statement from Golden Boy Promotions confirmed that Ryan would “honor the handshake made” that sealed the deal.
Ryan’s response to weightlessness
Garcia took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to let fans know that the weight loss was intentional.
“Why would I force myself to gain weight to become weak?” He wrote.
Ryan continued, “No, I’m here to win. And that.”

Additionally, Garcia went viral when he freestyled a song during a GQ interview with Devin. After Ryan finished his improvised song, Haney said: “I don’t know if he’s taking the fight seriously or not.”

Garcia also released new music. He recently posted a promo for his song ‘Blessed and Highly Favored’. His caption stated that it was available on all streaming platforms and that a music video was on the way.
Some fans claim that Garcia is great at marketing, while others believe that the fighter is not doing well.
@diamondstriking_ commented on her IG post of the press conference, “I can’t tell if he’s a marketing genius or if he’s completely lost control. There is a fine line.”
“Ryan tried to tell everyone what was going on and now they prescribed him like Kanye,” @travelhefe guessed.
Daily Mail reported in March that Garcia made allegations of children being sexually abused, murdered and missing. After making these claims, he later posted a video stating that he had lost access to his phone and credit cards, as well as assuring the public that he was not dead, for TMZ. Some social media regulars strongly supported his claims as they could see how distraught and scared Ryan was, but others said he was simply regurgitating old conspiracy theories.
Later, Garcia turned his attention to boxing.
