A car full of alleged scammers in New York is going viral for what appears to be a bizarre insurance fraud attempt — and the woman who says she was the target captured it all on her dashboard camera.
Here’s the thing… footage posted on TikTok by Ashpia Natasha — which has racked up 35 million views — shows her slamming on the brakes after a car pulled in front of her on the Belt Parkway in Queens and suddenly stopped.
After a few moments, the car in front quickly reverses… crashing into the front of Ashpia’s car. The end result looks like a violent attack has occurred.
Ashpia was on the phone with her husband the whole time, saying she didn’t know what the hell was going on and she was shocked… because it all happened so fast and it was so insane.
She claims the two backseat passengers blocked the back window with a “tarp” so the driver could swap seats with a passenger…all four people appeared to be injured, jumped out and observed the damage afterwards.
The police were called, but since no one appeared to be injured, they didn’t come to the scene… and told Ashpia to exchange information with the other driver, which she claims she did.
Only later – when she looked at the camera footage – did she realize that there was something very suspicious about all of this, especially since one of the occupants – who Ashpia claims to be really the driver – was caught in a different car, before the others left the scene in their damaged car.
A cautionary tale, for sure!
