Former NFL star Eddie Lacy is lucky he didn’t hurt himself or anyone else the night of his drunk driving arrest last month…’ cops claim he was driving with a blood alcohol content over FOUR TIMES the legal limit.
The Scottsdale Police Department says it all happened on September 30th… after a woman called 911 and reported to dispatch that someone matching the description of Lacy’s Audi SUV was driving so erratically, she was afraid of that they were “going to kill someone”.
Based on an SPD police report obtained by TMZ Sports ActivitiesThe cops stopped Lacy in his Q8 shortly after the decision was reached… and almost immediately, the cops noticed something was wrong regarding the former Green Bay Packers’ traffic jam.
“Eddie’s speech was slow,” one officer wrote in the paperwork, “slurred and mumbled once I started talking to him.”
Body camera footage shows that Lacy appeared to have taken pains to formulate clear, coherent sentences — even after the officer told him he recognized him from his fun days with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Lacy, however, was able to say that he had just arrived from Green Bay and was on his way to his girlfriend’s house – which he repeatedly acknowledged was just a few feet away.
However, when questioned further during the stop… Lacy told one of the officers at the scene that he had been drinking on his flight to Arizona – downing “a single shot” of tequila.
Finally, the cops took Lacy off his journey – and although they weren’t able to perform many local sobriety tests due to the accidents Lacy said he had during his football career – they did have him blow into a breathalyzer… which they mentioned produced results of 0.325.
When asked if he knew what the legal limit was in Arizona, Lacy said yes… stating, “I’ve had a problem driving under the influence” in the past. However, Lacy couldn’t say whether or not 0.08 was the ideal value.
The officers then handcuffed the 34-year-old man… and told him he was arrested for drunk driving.
Court data shows he has already been fined several prison charges – including a maximum DUI count BAC better than or equal to 0.20. He is scheduled to face a hearing on the matter next month.
As Lacy noted in the police video – this isn’t the first time he’s been arrested for driving under the influence… police documents we obtained in March 2022, he was accused of driving through Scottsdale with a BAC of 0.247.

Lacy — who did an alumni review on Lambeau Subject last month, just days before his arrest — logged snaps in the NFL from 2013 to 2017… racking up 3,614 rushing yards in 60 full games.
