It turned out to be a scam the threatening email sent this morning to ELAS headquarters and warned about the placement of explosive devices in central areas of Athens.
The email, written in English, stated that bombs would explode at the KAT hospital, the Athens Court of Appeals on Loukareos Street, and the Syntagma metro.
Teams from the ELAS Explosive Material Disposal Department rushed to the above points and the checks carried out did not find anything suspicious.
Traffic has been restored across Metro Line 2
By order of ELAS, according to information from STASY, the trains will stop again at the “Syntagma” station. Remember that previously Line 2 trains passed through the “Syntagma” station without stopping.
