The presidency of the SYRIZA – PS Parliamentary Group decided today to plan its parliamentary action for the next period, with the aim, as Koumoundourou reports, of increasing “opposition pressure on the ND Government”.
In principle, it was decided that in the coming days the request from SYRIZA – PS will be presented for the creation of a preliminary investigation commission to attribute responsibility for the local involvement in the Tempe tragedy.”
It was then decided:
– The re-presentation of all current issues, such as that relating to the dissolution of labor relations and the deregulation of work, all requests for an extraordinary meeting of Committees and all requests for discussion before the agenda, requests that have not been satisfied during the last legislature.
– The immediate presentation of a Proposal for a Culture Law. This is a Bill of 39 articles that modernizes and deepens the protection of the social good of culture.
– Resubmission of the SYRIZA – PS Law Proposal to support farmers through modern cooperative schemes. In the context of the preparation of the SYRIZA – PS KO for the discussion of the State Budget for the year 2025, meetings of 2 groups of deputies will be held at the beginning of November, during which the respective department heads will present the main axes of the Medium Term Plan and the Budget Project.
SYRIZA argues that “fiscal hemorrhaging will continue as VAT revenues, already increased by 53% from 2021, will increase again by 5%”. Although, although 21 EU countries sought fiscal space, the ND government insists on implementing surpluses, 15 billion for the years 2023 – 2025. In simple words, a policy of memorandum, even without memoranda”.
Today’s council meeting was attended by the President of the Greek Orthodox Church, Nikos Pappas, the 4th Vice-President of Parliament, Olga Gerovasilis, the Secretary of the Greek Orthodox Church, Theodora Tzakri, the Director of the Greek Orthodox Church, Thanos Moraitis , from the Parliamentary Representatives, Giorgos Gavrilos, Nina Kasimati and Yiannis Sarakiotis and the EPEKE Coordinator of KO, Giota Poulos
