McDonald’s has released yet another version of its larger-sized Happy Meals aimed at adults, and this time they have a family tie-in to a popular TV show.
What’s in Friends Happy meal for adults?
The new Friends The box was released at select McDonald’s locations. The box is McDonald’s latest attempt to attract adult customers to its restaurants by offering a larger version of its popular Happy Meal for kids.
The meals also come with a collectible item, just as the children’s version includes a toy. For example, an adult Happy Meal released last December included an updated version of the iconic McDonald’s McNugget Friends toys.
THE Friends The Box celebrates the 30th anniversary of the ’90s sitcom that premiered on NBC on September 22, 1994. Inside the box, fast food customers will find a McDonald’s sandwich, fries and a collectible character from the show.
Also featured as part of the promotion is Monica’s Marinara Sauce, named after Courtney Cox’s character in Friends.
How to find Friends Happy Meals for Adults
For now, the Friends The box will be difficult for some people to find depending on where they live.
According to Delicious, the box is available exclusively at McDonald’s stores in Spain. The company put a big marketing push behind the limited release, including airing a full commercial featuring Friends actor lookalikes.
For McDonald’s and Friends For fans in the US who won’t be heading to Spain anytime soon, some of the collectibles have already started to appear on eBay.
