GMC’s Sierra EV Denali enters its second year on the market with a new battery option that helps reduce the price of entry.
The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali is arriving in dealerships now, and GMC on Monday confirmed a starting price of $91,995, including a $2,095 destination charge.
This is with a Newly available 170 kWh Extended Range battery which GMC estimates will provide 390 miles of range.
Buyers looking for more range can opt for a 205 kWh Max Range battery that increases the estimated range to 460 miles. The 2025 Sierra EV Denali with Max Range battery starts at $100,495, including destination.
2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1
Thanks to an 800-volt electrical system, DC fast charging of up to 350 kW is possible, which would allow it to add 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes, according to GMC.
Every 2025 Sierra EV Denalis comes standard with a dual-motor powertrain and all-wheel drive with maximum power of 754 hp. This output is only a temporary value, available when the truck is in Max Power mode. GMC did not say how much power the truck typically delivers.
Other features include 24-inch wheels, adaptive air suspension, and GMC’s flexible middle door and tailgate that allow the bed length to be extended to nearly 11. Towing capacity is 10,500 pounds.
2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1
For buyers willing to wait, GMC has more options in the first half of next year. This will include the new Elevation and AT4 models. GMC hasn’t said what features will be included in these electric trucks, but the AT4 designation signals the addition of off-road upgrades.
When it arrived for the 2024 model year, the Sierra EV Denali started at $99,495 and was only available in one trim. special configuration Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 which contained the Max Range battery and had a range of 440 miles.
GMC was able to increase range by 20 miles in the 2025 model thanks to efficiency improvements to some components of the electric powertrain. These same improvements also benefited related countries Chevrolet Silverado 2025.
