Washington has closely monitored and monitored Iranian threats against former President Donald Trump for years and warned of “serious consequences” if Tehran attacks any American citizen, the White House said yesterday.
“We consider this a national and homeland security issue of the highest priority and strongly condemn Iran for these brazen threats,” said White House National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett.
“If Iran attacks any of our citizens, including those still serving the United States or those who served in the past, they will face serious consequences,” he warned.
