Gypsy Rose shares her thoughts on the Menendez brothers case
On Sunday, October 13th, TMZ published a video interview with Gypsy Rose, recorded at Los Angeles International Airport. Rose appeared alongside her fiancé, Ken Urker, as they appeared to be checking in for a flight. While there, the reporter asked Rose to share her thoughts on the Menendez brothers’ case.
In response, Rose explained that she hasn’t been following their case “much”.
“I’m not very polite in their case or anything,” she said.
The reporter then briefly explained that Erik and Lyle Menendez were sent to prison in the late 1990s for the murder of their parents in 1989. Additionally, the reporter explained that new evidence appears to support the claim that their parents abused them. Ultimately, the reporter explained that he wanted Rose’s perspective on the ordeal. It is worth noting that Rose was sentenced to ten years in prison for allegedly recruiting a boyfriend of hers to murder her mother in 2015, when she was a teenager.
Rose reiterated that she cannot talk about her brother’s case. But she explained that she is an “advocate for abuse victims in general” and also believes in prison reform.

Before the interview ended, the reporter informed Rose that Kim Kardashian recently “defended” her brothers and advocated for their release from prison. In turn, Rose explained that Kardashian is a “wise woman” who “makes good decisions.”
“I think she’s in the era of prison reform and I think she’s doing well in that area,” Rose said.
Additionally, the reporter asked Rose to share the advice she would give Erik and Lyle Menendez if they were released from prison.
“It’s very difficult to take on a world that has changed so much – even in my time,” Rose said. “Acclimatization is a difficult thing, so I would say, take your time, adjust accordingly and get therapy. Because you will need it in this world and in this day and age.”
Here’s Why The Menendez Brothers Made Headlines Recently
As The Shadow Room Previously reported, the Los Angeles County District Attorney revealed that his office received new evidence in the Menendez case earlier this month. The evidence is allegedly a letter that corroborates Erik’s claim that he was sexually molested by his father, José Menendez.
Around the same time, Kardashian wrote a letter in support of the Menendez brothers. Kardashian’s letter was released by NBC News. Furthermore, he stated that the Menendez brothers are not “monsters”. Additionally, Kardashian explained that the brothers’ initial allegations of sexual abuse went unheard in the ’90s because of their gender.
A hearing on the case and the impact of the new evidence was reportedly scheduled for November 29. Meanwhile, Erik Menendez is going viral on TikTok. Images were shared from her 1989 Beverly Hills High School yearbook.
