Meanwhile, Hezbollah said it targeted an Israeli naval base near Haifa, a day after an attack on another military base in the same area, in which four soldiers were killed.
“We remain alert and prepared to defend our country,” Hezbollah said in a statement.
He also highlighted that he was targeting Israeli forces who advanced towards the village of Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon, close to the border with Israel.
Hezbollah said its fighters used “artillery mortars against enemy soldiers en masse.”

In recent days, Israel and the UN have exchanged accusations about worker militants in southern Lebanon, as Israel advances its forces into the region, determined to eliminate the Iranian-backed Hezbollah and its military infrastructure.
The UN said Israeli tanks overran its force’s base in southern Lebanon on Sunday as Hezbollah launched a deadly “swarm of drones” at an Israeli army camp.
Israel disputed the UN’s allegations and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for the withdrawal of peacekeepers, noting that they provide “human shields” to Hezbollah amid an increase in hostilities.
