Dozens of brazen thieves broke into a freight train in Chicago to steal as much as they could carry… and the wild scene was all caught on camera!
The cargo theft occurred Friday afternoon on the city’s West Side… when the large group quickly looted as much as they could before authorities arrived.
A news helicopter for the local station ABC 7 happened to be in the area… and obtained footage of the robbery that occurred on the Union Pacific train.
A spokesperson for the railway company told the news station that “the train was stopped, awaiting exchange with a partner railway, when thieves began opening containers.”
Footage from the scene shows police officers arriving… guns drawn… and trying to detain some of the scoundrels… and at least six arrests were made, according to the news station.
The police investigation is ongoing… but it appears this isn’t the first time such a brazen train robbery has occurred… and it probably won’t be the last.
