UN peacekeepers in Lebanon say an IDF bulldozer fell over barricades at UN position 1-31, near the “Blue Line” in Labuneh, and Israeli army tanks moved close to the UN position.
“Today, several walls at our UN position 1-31, near the Blue Line in Labuneh, collapsed when an Israeli army (bulldozer) reached the perimeter and Israeli army tanks approached the UN position,” it said in a statement . UNIFIL.
“Our peacekeeping forces remained on site and a UNIFIL Immediate Response Force was sent to assist and reinforce the position,” it states.
The incident is unrelated to the incident that occurred yesterday, Thursday, which the Israeli military said it was investigating, where according to UNIFIL, two peacekeepers were injured “after two explosions occurred near an observation tower.”
