Taylor Swiftisn’t the only person making big bucks while performing… because even a T-Swift impersonator is cashing in – saying she makes almost $20K per performance.
Olivia Mojica – a singer who shares characteristics completely similar to the pop star and leads the “Blank Space Tribute Band” – stopped by TMZ’s “Quick Tea Podcast” Thursday…telling us that she actually quit her job because she’s making a lot of money honoring Swift.
Of course, we had to ask how much money she managed to make during her performances… and she told us that the most the band made for one performance was $18,000.
It’s worth mentioning that Mojica says that the money is divided between the entire band… so it’s much less than the initial payment.
Money is good, obviously… but OM also has other aspirations – with the ultimate goal of touring around the world. She thinks it’s a reasonable goal, but right now they’re still building the overall product.
As for how Taylor feels about it… Olivia says she hopes the singer isn’t mad — because she doesn’t want to get in trouble for honoring her, and she insists she’s not trying to take anything away from Taylor.
Blank Space Tribute Band has just over 2,000 followers on Insta… and their profile has definitely expanded since they first entered the tribute scene about a year ago. The 90-minute experience is quite Swift-friendly – and much more affordable than the Eras Tour.
Either way, the band is actually making money… and giving all the love to the “Blank Space” singer, too.
