NBCUniversal International TV Distribution has delivered the thriller “The Day of the Jackal,” starring Eddie Redmayne, to nearly 200 territories worldwide. The present is United Kingdom. the premiere was on Tuesday in London.
The series, a featured title at Los Angeles screenings in May, was subsequently picked up by patrons around the world.
These sales exclude the US, where Peacock already held the rights, and the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy, where Sky is the rights holder.

In “The Day of the Jackal,” a unique and incredibly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal (Redmayne), makes his home by finishing hits for the best price. However, after his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch), who begins tracking the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in her wake.
The series premieres in the US on Peacock on November 14th with the first five episodes, followed by weekly episodes, and a double finale episode (episodes 9 and 10) on December 12th. on Sky on November 7th.
The author and executive producer is Ronan Bennett. The other executive producers are Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant for Carnival Movies, Sam Hoyle for Sky Studios, Sue Naegle, director Brian Kirk and Redmayne.
Lynch was co-executive producer. Chris Corridor was a producer. Frederick Forsyth was a consulting producer.
The cast was led by Redmayne, Lynch and Úrsula Corberó, supported by Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O’Neill, Nick Blood, Sule Rimi and Florisa Kamara.
The collection was produced by Carnival Movies, part of Common Worldwide Studios, a division of Common Studio Group.
In the United Kingdom, the debut was Cécile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios and director of content; Neame, Marchant and Kirk; and Bennett. Universal Studio Group executives in attendance were Beatrice Springborn, president of UCP and Universal Worldwide Studios, and Rob Howard, chief financial officer and executive vice president of Universal Worldwide Studios.
