A close relative of King Charles has offered a “worrisome” update on his battle with cancer.
As you probably know, Charles fights cancer for several months now.
Official updates have been few and far between, a situation that has created fertile ground for rumors and speculation.
King Charles’ son-in-law offers ‘worrisome’ update
Charles’ recent visit to Australia generated tremendous optimism around the world.
After all, if the king is well enough to travel, it stands to reason that he must be on the rise.
However, in a new interview with PeopleCharles’ stepson Tom Parker Bowles revealed the monarch is still facing a “terrifying” diagnosis.
According to Parker Bowles, Charles stopped his treatment for the trip to Australia and will “do what he can” to recover when he returns.
Charles’ “terrifying” situation
“It’s a terrible disease, and when someone close to you gets it, whatever their ability, it’s a very worrying thing,” Parker Bowles said (via News week).
“But my mother is also strong. She supports him in every way. I think it’s wonderful to have someone you love by your side.”
As for what the future holds for Charles, his stepson made no predictions, but confirmed that the entire family is optimistic.
“He’s doing what he can,” Parker Bowles continued. “He is following the advice of his doctors. Fingers crossed, touch wood.”
Tom went on to say that he feels enormous pride in the way his mother, Queen Camillafaced the challenges of last year.
“I’m extremely proud of her,” Parker Bowles said. “She is at an age when most people think about retiring. But she never complains. She just moves on.
What’s next for King Charles?
If the past few months are any indication, it could be a while before we receive any official word on Charles’ health.
Royal watchers expressed optimism when Charles attended Troping the Color in June. He didn’t ride a horse during the ceremony, but he seemed to be in good spirits.
A few weeks later, Charles delivered the king’s speech during the State Opening of Parliament. Supporters were hopeful that an announcement of a full recovery would follow.
Unfortunately, we have not yet heard such an announcement.
We will have more updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.
