Two-day strike mobilization, today 22nd and tomorrow 23rd October, by the PNO, in the Coastal Ferries Passenger International Ships & Cruise Ships categories.
The main requests are the signing of the SSE with a 23% increase rate and the immediate change of the article to the four-monthly routing of EG/OG, High Speed Ships and the imposition of mandatory seven-month routing.
Workers’ demand:
- Repeal of Law 41/50,
- Immediate change to the article on quarterly routing of EG/OG, High Speed Ships and
- Imposing mandatory seven-month routing,
- In practice and not on paper, without any objection, the non-approval of itineraries by the SAS and Ministers, taking into account the new navigation period, without strict observance of Maritime Legislation.
“We cannot ignore the high profitability of companies, the 150 million euros they collect annually from the State fund to subsidize sterile lines, the bonus that the Government is preparing for the renewal and modernization of their fleet due to the famous transition to shipping green. We still cannot ignore that on all ships, even these minimums contained in Maritime legislation are being violated to the detriment of Seafarers”, says the PNO statement.
