As we reported, Weinstein had his Manhattan case dismissed on grounds of attraction following his 2020 conviction for raping an aspiring actress and sexually assaulting a production assistant. The judge sentenced him to 23 years in prison.
However, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg decided to retry the two accusers’ case and even filed a new indictment in September, accusing Weinstein of a third sexual assault on a woman in a midtown Manhattan hotel.
What’s more, Weinstein was convicted in 2022 of raping a woman in a Beverly Hills hotel and was sentenced to 16 years in prison in California. He also faced a mountain of civil lawsuits alleging rape and sexual assault.
In addition to his legal troubles, Weinstein has had to deal with a number of health problems, including diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis, and fluid in his heart and lungs.
In September, he was rushed to hospital to undergo major heart surgery after experiencing chest pains in prison. During another hospital visit, he contracted COVID-19 and double pneumonia, requiring additional medical care.
Now, Weinstein has contracted leukemia. It seems Harvey can’t seem to catch a break.
