Six people died in Cuba due to Hurricane Oscar, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel announced.
“Unfortunately, according to preliminary information, six human lives were lost in the community of San Antonio del Sur”, in the province of Guantánamo (east), said the head of state in a televised speech.
The typhoon swept through the eastern part of the country, with strong winds and torrential rain that uprooted trees.
