Cooper Kochof received a lot of love for the convicted murderer he executed… saying he cares about Erik Menendez – and finding him in prison was a solution.
The actor — who plays Erik in Ryan Murphy’s “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” — spoke with Deadline at the Movement Image Academy Gala on Saturday night… and he says his meeting with Erik was “gratifying”
Cooper says preparing to play Erik was like preparing to meet him too… explaining that he developed trust and nurtured Menendez over hours of preparation.
As you understand, Erik hit ‘Monsters’ as a dishonest portrayal of his and his brother Lyle’s lives… and, we said, the two received a visit shortly after Koch and kim kardashian.
Cooper stated that he actually received a hug of EM in the prison where Eric and Lyle are serving life sentences for murdering their parents 35 years ago. He later revealed that he spoke to Erik, who expressed his displeasure with the series before it was released – so the criticism didn’t surprise anyone involved.
As many individuals – along with some members of the Menéndez family – Kim left after the meeting and told the brothers needs to be released from prison.
The Los Angeles DA is currently reviewing your case and decide whether his office will push for a new trial or resentencing of the Menendezes, which could free them from prison.
It looks like Cooper will be ready with open arms to welcome the boys back into society if they come out… with lots of love and care.
