Cooper Kochof I have a lot of love for the convicted killer he played… saying he cares about him Erik Menendez – and meeting him in prison was a pleasure.
The actor — who plays Erik in Ryan Murphy’s “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” — spoke with Deadline at the Motion Picture Academy Gala on Saturday night… and he says his meeting with Erik was “rewarding”
Cooper says preparing to play Erik was like preparing to meet him too… explaining that he developed trust and affection for Menendez over hours of preparation.
As you know, Erik hit ‘Monsters’ as a dishonest portrait of his and his brother Lyle’s lives… and, we told you, the two received a visit shortly after Koch and kim kardashian.
Cooper said that actually I received a hug of EM in the prison where Eric and Lyle are serving life sentences for the murder of their parents 35 years ago. He later revealed that he spoke to Erik, who expressed his displeasure with the series before it was released – so the criticism didn’t surprise anyone involved.
As many people – including numerous members of the Menéndez family – Kim left after the meeting and told the brothers deserves to be released from prison.
The Los Angeles District Attorney is currently reviewing your case and decide whether his office will push for a new trial or resentencing of the Menendezes, which could free them from prison.
It looks like Cooper will be waiting with open arms to welcome men back into society if they come out… with lots of love and care.
