The type of drone that attempted to target the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not yet been officially announced. It has only been confirmed that it was fired by Hezbollah.
Israeli media reports say it was a Sayyad 107 or an Ababil-T.

Its characteristics
· The Sayyad 107 has a range of about 100 km and a wingspan of 1.5 to 2 meters.
Drones of this type have penetrated Israeli airspace dozens of times during the current warcausing damage to infrastructure and buildings.
· Sayyad 107’s flight path can be programmed to change altitude and direction frequently, making it difficult to detect and track, and its detection depends on the heat emitted by the engine, which is also difficult to detect by visual means.

· It is possible that the drone that attempted to hit Netanyahu’s residence was pre-programmed to descend sharply toward the ground or sea and continue to fly at low altitude, taking advantage of the coastal terrain and then the hills of the coastal plain to avoid interception .
· Ababil-T, also known as Mirsad-1, has an attack range of 120 km, a maximum speed of 370 km per hour, the capacity to carry up to 40 kg of explosives and the ability to fly at altitudes of up to 3 km according to the Israeli military for this drone manufactured by the Iranian military.
In the new video of Hezbollah’s armed wing demonstrating its UAV arsenal, IMHO at least 5 types of drones appeared..
1 – Variant of the Iranian Ababil-2 (also known as Ababil-T).
2 – Iranian Sayyad
3 – Something like a smaller variation of Sayyad pic.twitter.com/Ra7Kd2HZTt-Yuri Lyamin (@imp_navigator) October 14, 2024
