Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was killed by Israeli fire in Gaza, had a reputation as a ruthless sadist. But many acknowledged that, unlike other members of the terrorist organization, he remained in the pocket and weathered the hardships. That’s not to say he didn’t enjoy luxury either.
New video released shows Yahya Sinwar taking his family to an underground hideout in the labyrinthine tunnels of Gaza. His wife is clearly seen holding a luxurious Hermes Birkin bag. Its value is estimated at 32 thousand dollars.
According to Israeli authorities, the footage was taken just hours before the October 7 massacre. Sinwar, 61, and his wife Abu Zamar, holding the super-luxurious bag, are seen helping their two young children down the narrow tunnel corridor at 10:45 p.m. from October 6, 2023.
“Although the people of Gaza do not have money to buy food, we see many examples of Yahya Sinuar and his wife’s special love for money,” IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote to X.

Although the people of Gaza do not have enough money to buy a tent or basic materials, we see many examples of the love of God and his wife. pic.twitter.com/sGft4Qg9s8— افیخای ادرعی (@AvichayAdraee) October 19, 2024
