On the 24th and 25th of October, the Federation of Service Workers’ Associations (OSEYPE) goes on strike for 48 hours, “following the demand of the main unions of School Cleaning workers across the country, with a decision by the its Board of Directors”.
The workers’ Requests and Complaints (read the full notice) are as follows:
“Recognition of the permanent and permanent nature of school cleaning needs and conversion of IDOX into full-time employment for an indefinite period.
IDOX recruitments financed by funds from the state budget must be full-time.
Full-time hiring priority for the 2025-2026 school year for anyone with the highest score based on years of experience
Obligation to hire for ten (10) full months
Signing of a collective work agreement between the Ministry of the Interior and our Federation. It is imperative that the remuneration and working conditions of school building cleaning workers (IDAX and IDOX) are determined by a collective labor agreement corresponding to the POE’s OTA. The sector proposes signing a separate collective agreement, because 90% of employees are represented by the Federation of Service Employees’ Associations (OSEFPE).
Certification of Professional Skills and Certification of Cleaning and Disinfection Products.
Timely payroll payments’.
