Travis Kelce is insisting he’s a guy from Cleveland, despite showing up at a Guardians-Yankees game with Taylor Swift in neutral clothing this week… applauding fans who questioned her fandom with a fiery response.
Game 3 of the ALCS ended in dramatic fashion on Thursday… a matchup that went back and forth over the final two innings before the Guards secured victory in the 10th with a David Frio two-run homer.
Kelce – who is from Cleveland Heights – shared her excitement over the shocking result… saying, “Baseball Playoff baby!!! @CleGuardians made the city absolutely ROCKIN TONIGHT!! What a game!”
Some Ohioans didn’t want to hear that from the Kansas City Chiefs star, however… quickly reminding him that he failed – in their eyes – to adequately support his guards during Game 1 at Yankee Stadium, which he attended with your girlfriend.
The issue revolves around Kelce choosing not to wear so much as a Cleveland keychain during his appearance… as many thought it would be a great opportunity to show off his team pride on the national stage.
But the 35-year-old made it clear that no matter what he has in his body, there is Cleveland blood coursing through him.
“😂😂😂 I’ve been a Cleveland sports fan my entire life…” Kelce said. “Going back to countless games over the years, both Guards and Cavs, just to enjoy those memories with my friends and family, WIN OR LOSE!!”
“and I don’t wear Cleveland gear once 😂 and suddenly I’m not a real fan?! Ask anyone who was in or near that suite in game 1 who I was rooting for, they’ll let you know I was there for @CleGuardians.”
In Kelce’s defense, he has really displayed hometown pride in the past… attending several Cleveland sporting events over the years – and even throwing out a first pitch for the Guards in the past (albeit in rather horrific fashion). .
Regardless…it’s safe to say Travis is the equal of fellow Ohio native Machine Gun Kelly – “CLE ‘Til I Die.”
