New “fire” against the United Nations GC, Antonio Guterres, freed Israel after the death of Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar, in an Israeli attack on Gaza.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz criticized Guterres for not “welcoming” the death of the Hamas leader.
He accused the UN GC that he “leads an extremely anti-Israel and anti-Jewish agenda.”
“Guterres did not welcome the neutralization of arch-terrorist Yahya Sinwar, just as he refused to declare Hamas a terrorist organization after the October 7 massacre,” he said in a post.
“We will continue to label him persona non grata and ban him from entering Israel,” he added.

On October 2, Katz said Guterres was barred from entering the country because he did not “unequivocally” condemn Iran’s missile attack on Israel.
