The Durango’s Hemi V-8 days are coming to an end, and Dodge is celebrating two decades of the engine’s availability on the SUV nameplate with a series of special editions.
The latest was revealed on Thursday as the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey. He joins the previous Hammerhead and Silver Bullet specials also based on the Durango SRT Hellcat, as well as the 20th anniversary special based on the Durango R/T.
All special editions are now available to order, with the Brass Monkey’s starting price has been set at $113,720excluding destination. Production will be limited, but Dodge hasn’t said exactly how many examples of each model will be available.
The Brass Money in the name of the latest special edition comes from the bronze (or brass) color that Dodge offers as an option for its wheels and emblems on several vehicles, including the special edition that rides on 20-inch wheels and features a familiar body color. as Red Oxide. Other special touches include a sepia finish on the leather trim, silver SRT Hellcat logos on the seats, a suede headliner, a leather and suede steering wheel, and forged carbon fiber accents on the dashboard.

Under the hood is a Hellcat supercharged 6.2-liter V-8, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine delivers 710 hp in the Durango SRT Hellcat, or enough to Acceleration from 0-60 mph in 3.5 secondsa quarter-mile elapsed time of 11.5 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph. The numbers are impressive for a midsize SUV with third-row seating.
The Durango is now the last Dodge to feature a V-8. As it did with its latest V-8 Challenger and Charger muscle cars, Dodge also plans a series of “Last Call” special editions to mark the end of the V-8’s run in the Durango. The first of these was revealed in January as the 2024 Durango SRT 392 AlcHemiand more are planned for 2025.
Dodge is then expected to introduce a replacement for the Durango in 2026, which is currently rumored to be a smaller crossover reviving the Stealth name.
