LAMDA Development, as part of its corporate social responsibility actions, implements, in collaboration with SciCo, the program “Smart city innovators: smart cities for a sustainable future”, with the aim of informing students about the concepts of ” green”, “smart” and sustainable cities.
The initiative includes a school educational program for 1,500 students from schools located on the project borders of Hellinikon municipalities (Elliniko-Argyroupoli, Alimos, Glyfada), as well as original group actions in the Ellinikon Experience Park.
The educational program aims, among other things, to familiarize students with the basic functions of a “smart” city at an environmental and technological level, as well as to raise awareness of the importance of saving resources. The program’s educational approach is based on project-based learning, game-based learning, and discovery learning through experiential activities.
At the same time, and during 3 weekends in October, at The Ellinikon Experience Park, SciCo’s specialized team will help “little scientists” discover the importance of the “smart” city and envision, through original group actions and bioclimatic practices , the new city already being created in Ellinikon.
The activities will take place in Square B of The Ellinikon Experience Park and are aimed at children aged 8 to 12. Participation is free and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Program: Saturday 12th, 19th, 26th and Sunday 13th, 20th and 27th October | 11:00 – 17:00
