THE Kamala Harris The interview billed as she in the lion’s den turned out to be as fiery as expected, with a heated argument erupting with Fox News’ Bret Baier more than one donald trump observation about America’s “enemy within.”
Fox News
The vice president’s meeting with Bret lasted about 30 minutes, covering a range of contentious campaign issues… like immigration, transgender issues, President Bidenthe mental acuity and, of course, of your opponent.
That’s when the fireworks really started, when Bret asked Harris about the fact that about half of US voters wanted Trump back in the White House. As he told her: “Are they mistaken, the 50%? Are they stupid?”
Harris quickly responded, “Oh God, I would never say that about the American people”… and then she pointed her finger at Trump, saying, “He’s the one who tends to demean and belittle and belittle the American people. He’s the one that talks about an enemy within” – referring to Trump previously saying he would use the military against American citizens to combat high crime and immigration.
When Bret played a clip of Trump — from a Fox News interview earlier in the day — that he said addressed this issue — things got even more tense. Here’s how Harris reacted to the clip… insisting it didn’t reflect the “enemy within” comments she was referring to.
In fact, the interview played out like a debate with Baier and Harris talking several times… particularly during a conversation about U.S. immigration policy.

It even ended controversially when Bret pointed out that Harris’ team was waving at him off-camera, telling him to end the interview… while they continued talking to each other.
