Angel Reese is trending after she recently spoke out about her WNBA salary not being enough to cover her bills.

Here’s what Angel Reese said about her WNBA salary
On Wednesday, October 16, Instagram user @livebitez shared video footage from a recent Reese’s live stream. In the clip, the Chicago Sky player told fans: “I hope everyone knows the WNBA doesn’t pay my bills.”
“I don’t think that even pays one of my bills,” Reese added. “Literally. I’m trying to think about the rent for the place where I stay… Let me do the math… I don’t even know my salary. 74? OK…”
At that point, one of Reese’s friends took over his calculations. Ultimately, Reese told fans, “I’m living beyond my means!”
The WNBA player revealed that her monthly rent is $8,000 and added that her WNBA salary “doesn’t pay for anything.” Additionally, Reese and her friend noted how lucky she is to be able to support her lifestyle through endorsement deals and other means of income.

Angel Reese Has Already Addressed Comments About Her WNBA Salary
As The Shadow Room previously reported, Reese’s WNBA salary was revealed in April. At the moment, On3.com reported that Reese would be paid $73,439 for his first season in the league. Then, she would receive more than $74,000 annually through 2025 and more than $82,000 through 2026.
Furthermore, Reese’s four-year total salary in the WNBA was calculated to be around $324,000.

The following month, Reese responded to criticism that the WNBA received for the salaries it gives its players, for The Shadow Room. Ultimately, Reese explained that she views her WNBA salary as a “bonus” to the money she makes from various endorsement deals.
Additionally, Reese explained that she was grateful to be able to play the game she loves, noting that she doesn’t participate in professional basketball for the money.
