TikTok star Rachel Yaffe died after battling cancer for several years… his family confirmed in an obituary.
According to his loved ones, the Internet personality passed away on Friday… after a 7-year battle with rare liver cancer. Rachel, who documented her fight against fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma on TikTok, posted her last update in September… in which she noted that she was struggling after some recent radiation.
She shared at the time… “It’s been really hard for me to get up and force myself to move. So I’m working on doing that. Luckily, it’s easier to walk around here, being in the city.”
Rachel has previously opened up about her harrowing battle with cancer… revealing that she realized something was wrong in her late teens but initially ignored her intuition.
She was later referred to a specialist as her concerns grew… and a tumor was found in her liver.
While Rachel underwent surgery to remove the tumor, the cancer unfortunately spread to her lungs and liver… forcing her to battle the disease for the next few years.
Rachel leaves her parents Beautiful and Wayneyour grandmother Sidneyand brothers Jordan and Jessica. Her family is holding shiva for her this week…they announced that all services are private.
For those wishing to honor Rachel, the family has asked that contributions be made to Experience Campsa non-profit organization that supports grieving children.
Raquel was only 27 years old.
