Jenelle Evans swears she’s not violent.
At least not at any point in the recent past, at least.
The oft-beleaguered reality star gave a statement late last week to Celebuzz in which she sought to downplay an apparent incident over the summer between her and boyfriend August Keen.
In case you missed it, Keen called 911 in August and told the operator — according to our friends at The Ashley’s Reality Roundup — that Evans had been “hitting” him “all night” and that she was drunk after consuming one drink from eight to 12. drinks in the last hours.
Keen added that, in general, his girlfriend smokes “a lot of weed and drinks a lot.”
Evans can be heard screaming in the background of this call, which reportedly occurred after she and Keen returned from a pool party.
(Jenelle, remember, moved to Las Vegas from North Carolina earlier this year.)
“I’m trying to leave, but she keeps following me,” Keen said in this 911 call. “I just want to get out of the house safely.”
Police eventually arrived at August’s residence, but he chose NOT to press any charges.
In a subsequent Instagram Story, Keen attempted to walk back her allegations.
“No, I wasn’t hit. I have zero tolerance for violence and would not be in any DV situation,” he told his followers.
“My intentions were never to cause any of us trouble,” he wrote. “On the contrary. I respect and love (Jenelle) very much.
Evans, who left her own abusive relationship in Marchtold Celebuzz the following over the weekend:
“August and I have been best friends for many years. We have argued less than 5 times in 7-8 years. Our bond is much stronger than a bad night.”
We can’t help but notice the lack of any kind of denial here when it comes to Keen’s original accusations.
“That night is behind us and we are just focused on future possibilities,” Evans simply added in this new message.
Previously, through his social media statement, Keen said everything was blown out of proportion:
“We had fun at a friend’s event, at the end of the night we got into an Uber, we had a fight on the way to her house. I wanted to be escorted out with some of my things, I don’t like alcohol, because in hot moments things can get worse.
Keen said he was only referring to “anxiety” medication when he referenced pills on the call and concluded:
“And for your information, no children were around at any time. I think if the police saw something suspicious, they would have done their job.”
