“Fully Torqued” Star Steve Pazmany is issuing an alert after Elon MuskCybercab debuted last night… claiming the new product could be the end of Uber and other ridesharing.
Video obtained by TMZ of the History Channel personality at the Hot Rod Power Tour in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he reacted to Elon’s proposal for a driverless future. While the invention may be good news for the Tesla boss, Steve said autonomous developments could mark the end of ride-sharing apps… and thousands of jobs around the world.
He added… “I think it’s going to happen sooner or later. If I was an Uber driver, I’d be worried about my job right now. The future is here and saying autonomous driving won’t succeed eventually… I don’t I know.
Still, Steve believes people in the industry have a little time to prepare for the change… with the TV personality predicting that Cybercab’s initial launch will “fail.”
As he said… he feels it’s a little crazy to get into a car where you have no control, given his belief that technology isn’t up to par yet.
However, Elon certainly felt comfortable with the pending product… teasing consumers Thursday night that the vehicle could be available shortly before 2027… with an affordable $30,000 price tag.
Elon also debuted Tesla’s Robovan, a driverless vehicle that comfortably seats 20 passengers… making the need for an UberXL largely unnecessary.
Still, Tesla’s CEO has been teasing driverless cars for a while now… so who knows what real the timeline is. Only time will tell!!!
