Some of the Los Angeles Dodgers actually… laid down the woodwork during their win over the San Diego Padres last night… one celebration in particular went viral.
Here’s the deal…the Dodgers defeated the Padres 2-0 to close out the tight best-of-five division series…and now they will face the New York Mets in the National League Championship Series.
One of the biggest moments of the night came when fan favorite Kike Hernandez hit a home run to make it 1-0… and celebrated after rounding the bases, appearing to bump into Johnson with his teammate Gavin Lux.
Of course… the unexpected interaction immediately went viral… and divided social media – with some thinking it was hilarious and amazing… and others calling it weird and inappropriate.
Whatever the guys’ reaction… sporting wood, if you will… this certainly isn’t the first time the bumps have happened during an MLB celebration. Cubs players had the same celebration in 2016… and won the World Series!
The Mets come to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers tomorrow for Game 1 of the NLCS… and there will probably be more… bat breaking.
