Three contracts were signed on Friday for the energy modernization of 9 Health Centers in the 1st Health Region of Attica.
They were signed by the administrator of the 1st Health Region, Olga Balaoura, and by the representative of the sponsoring company “TALOS ATE”, in the presence of the deputy Minister of HealthIrinis Agapidakis, and the mandated advisor and head of the Strategic Importance Contracts Unit at TAIPADOPanagiotis Stampoulidis.
The value of the contracts amounts to 11.7 million euros. The tenders for the projects were matured and carried out by the Strategic Importance Contracts Unit of TAIPED, with the 1st Health Region of the Ministry of Health as the contracting entity.
In particular, the signed contracts concern:
- In the requalification and energetic and functional renewal of Health Centers Kallithea, Chalandriouwith a total value of 3,698,620.22 euros.
- In the requalification and energetic and functional renewal of Health Centers Ilioupoli, Kerameikoswith a total value of 3,035,125.57 euros.
- In the requalification and energetic and functional renewal of Health Centers Zografou, Platia Attica, Neo Kosmou, Nea Ionia (TI Perissou), Nea Ionia – Radiology Service, with a total value of 4,969,136.05 euros.
The project is implemented within the scope of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” with co-financing from the European Union – NextGenerationEU and is subject to the special conditions for the execution of its Actions and Projects Recovery Fund and durability.
The Deputy Minister of Health, Irini Agapidaki, stated in this regard: “Primary health care is entering a new era, as for the first time we carry out such important interventions in the country’s Health Centers. Our objective is to guarantee quality health services to all citizens, through modern and energetically updated structures. With these investments we demonstrate in practice that healthcare is not just about treatment, but also about prevention and creating an environment that promotes general well-being. The overall upgrade of the country’s healthcare system is a central pillar of our policy.”
In turn, TAIPED’s appointed advisor and head of the Strategic Importance Contracts Unit (PPF) Panagiotis Stamboulidis, said: “In the TAIPED Strategic Importance Contracts Unit (PPF) we are committed to the mission assigned to us by the State to modernize the infrastructure of the National Health System. With the contracts signed today for the modernization of 9 Health Centers in Attica, 90% of the projects relating to the Health Centers in Attica were contracted, for a total value of 47.7 million of euros, following mature competitions carried out by the PPF.
Very soon, the image of Primary Health Care infrastructures across the country will be completely different, as the modernization of Health Centers advances at an accelerated pace with all that this implies for the care of residents and visitors. , especially in areas such as the Attica Region where needs are particularly pressing.
