The intervention in internal party developments in SYRIZA is made with a declaration of Pavlos Polakis and calls on his fellow party presidential candidates to come together and jointly agree on the terms of an “honest and clean fight”.
He also refers to the issue that arose with the leaking of his “pothen esches”. Stefanou Kasselakis calling for the withdrawal of the extrajudicial and the end of the “paraphilology” regarding the removal of a presidential candidate.
In his statement he also states: “I declared that I was, am and will be SYRIZA PS and I consider that the only way to reposition the party on a governing path is the smooth election of a new president, without exclusions. Society demands that the election be judged in the political field, with positions and programs presented by all candidates. I was the first to set an example.”
Polakis also refers to the issue that arose with the leak of Stefanos Kasselakis’ “pothen esshes”: “Today I appeal to all co-candidates for the presidency of SYRIZA PS, to come together and agree on the terms of an honest and clean that will strengthen and not degrade SYRIZA PS. Let everyone rise to the occasion and stop the shadow theater where the alleged abusers and the alleged victims are the protagonists. We do not deserve the bad mood and the extra courts, nor the micropolitics, nor the plans that emerge at night in the cellars! I call for the extrajudicials to be withdrawn IMMEDIATELY and for all the paraphilology about the removal of a presidential candidate to STOP!! open, mass and democratic process. May the one chosen by the people of the democratic party win! Based on the decisions of the SYRIZA PS, let us all take a public stand today. and tactics outside political life and far from the needs of the people!”
In closing, he states: “If someone does not want or cannot understand my message, then they want evil and not good, the liquidation and not the strengthening of the historically necessary great majority of the left. The time has come for all of us to take responsibility!”
