“The ESIEA Board of Directors deeply regrets announcing the loss of its colleague Charalambos (Babi) Agrolambos, who passed away suddenly this morning.
Babis Agrolampos was born in 1965, in Didymoteicho, Evros, and studied at the Kapodistrian University of Athens, at the School of Political Science and Public Administration.
He began his journalistic career in 1989 at the newspaper “Proti”, covering freelance reporting. Afterwards, he worked on the radio “902”, the newspapers “Anagnostis”, “Tetarti Exousia”, “Ependytis” and the magazine “Eptamisy”. From 1992, he began working at the radio station “Flash 96.1”, first as a reporter and then as editor-in-chief. From time to time he collaborated on programs on the television channels “SKAI” and “MEGA”. He remained at “Eleftherotypia” from 2008 until the closure of the newspaper, while from 2013 he worked at “Jornal dos Editores”.
Babis Agrolampos distinguished himself by his professional consistency, hard work and the seriousness he demonstrated in all the reports in which he was involved. A dignified, modest, meek man, with integrity of character, he worked hard and conscientiously. Throughout his professional career he was supportive of his colleagues and participated in social and trade union struggles. From November 2008 to May 2010, he was a member of the Board of Directors. of ESIEA and offered valuable services with its decisive interventions.
