DDG says he and Halle Bailey are “family forever”
In the October 6th episodeDDG reminded critics and jokesters that clowning with him means clowning with the family as a whole.
“I personally think people just pick on me. People criticize me especially because for a long time people felt like I didn’t belong in the music industry… especially me being with Halle… she’s a superstar, she’s the best ever,” DDG said.
The streamer said he thinks people already had a narrative about him not being worthy of it. That’s why he got all the sideways looks and backlash, he claims.
“It’s a reason she stayed with me, it’s a reason we had a child together. It’s a reason why all this happened. Halle and I will be family forever. I’d give your grandmother some Swiss cheese, I don’t care if she’s 100 years old. I would give your grandmother a Swiss cheese instead of Halle and that’s exactly it. This is called family.”
But his comments didn’t end there. DDG shared that critics and trolls need to back off because he is not a random person to Halle Bailey.
“So I feel like people should keep that in mind when they talk about us. You’re talking about family. “You need to relax. I’m not just a random guy, I’m not just a random guy and I feel like you guys don’t consider that at all. If I’m hurting, it could be hurting my baby that you love so much. So I feel like a lot of people forget that,” he adds.
DDG is apparently reaching his breaking point with all the reactions following his split. Over the weekend to criticize Joe Budden for subtly suggesting he was a nobody by going after Halle’s name.
“They broke up, so I can’t keep seeing this nigga’s name attached to this girl’s name, and I don’t know him for nothing as someone independent, and to me, it’s important based on their own name and merit and what they’ve done ”, Budden said on his podcast.
Needless to say, the streamer didn’t let it go. He put his Twitter (now X) fingers to work and Budden responded.
