New bloodbath in Gaza, with many dead and injured, with the Palestinian media reporting an attack on civilians and the Israeli military claiming that it was a precision attack on Hamas command centers.
Specifically, the Israeli military claimed that warplanes carried out a precision strike against a terrorist command center in a complex that formerly housed the Ibn Rushd school in Deir al-Balah, in the center of the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, a separate airstrike hit a second Hamas control center in Deir al-Ballah, located on the former site of the Shuhada al-Aqsa mosque – killing at least 5 people and injuring 20 others.
“The command centers were used by Hamas to plan and carry out terrorist attacks against IDF forces and the State of Israel,” the IDF statement said.
Both incursions, according to the statement, were carried out under the direction of the Directorate of Military Intelligence and only after several measures were taken to mitigate civilian casualties, including the use of precision munitions, aerial visual intelligence.
