Garth Brooks responded to allegations that he allegedly raped a makeup artist 5 years ago… calling the shocking allegations a straight-up extortion.
Here’s the deal… the country star is being sued by a woman claiming to be his wife Trisha Anowoodwas a makeup and hairstylist for years… before he allegedly raped her in a hotel room in 2019.
GB responded to the allegations on Thursday, not long after news of his lawsuit broke… saying he was “bothered endlessly with threats, lies and tragic stories about what my future would be like if I didn’t write a check for many million dollars. It was like having a loaded gun in my face.”
In the documents, the woman claims that Garth held her 5-foot-9 body by her ankles and dangled her upside down as he penetrated her vagina, slamming his penis inside her with so much force that she felt like she was breaking in two.
She claims that after the rape everything went normally and she did Garth’s hair and makeup for the event. She says she was facing financial difficulties and needed work, and Garth took advantage of her financial situation.
Garth filed his own lawsuit against the woman about a month ago… accusing her of “extortion and defamation of character”… which at the time was filed anonymously “for the sake of the families on both sides.”
GB’s lawsuit makes it clear that the accuser allegedly knew she could inflict a lot of damage on Garth’s career and reputation if she continued her allegations… which she allegedly planned to do without a big payout from the millionaire.
“I want to play music tonight. I want to continue our good deeds from now on. It breaks my heart that these wonderful things are in question now,” Brooks said in a statement. “I trust the system, I don’t fear the truth, and I’m not the man they painted me to be.”
