38 Cypriot citizens and 22 Greeks from Lebanon returned safely to Greece.
At approximately 11:00 in the morning, 60 people boarded the Greek Army’s C-130 transport – and returned safely, the first to Larnaca airport, the second to Elefsina, where the aircraft landed in the afternoon.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated that: “I was pleased to be informed that the mission undertaken by the Ministry of National Defense, to safely transport our fellow Greeks and Cypriots from Beirut airport, has been completed, proving once again that Our Armed Forces are capable of carrying out such missions, whenever necessary, and above all to protect our fellow citizens, Greeks and Cypriots”.

The happy ending of the operation was announced through X by Defense Minister Nikos Dendias, as soon as the C-130 entered the Nicosia FIR.
